AMAC Water Treatment

10,000ltr Water tank clean and disinfection
Project specification: Plant room 4th floor office block, Nottingham.

Findings: During routine maintenance it was decided that the cold water tank supplying the building, was in need of a clean and disinfection. Further water samples were taken (legionella & potabilty) to confirm our original findings.

Scope of works: Firstly we isolated all downwards services from the cold water tank and placed notices on each outlets advising of a lack of water service and also the duration for this works. We then drained the tank of water and proceeded to disinfect the sides, lids outlets and mechanics of the tank using sanosil solutions.

• 

Once the tank and components were cleaned we then filled the tank with fresh water and dosed the tank with a diluted concentrate of 50ppm of sanosil. The outlets were then opened and the new water was flushed through to each outlet ensuring the correct dilution (50ppm) was obtained at each outlet for a duration of 1hr.

Completion: once all works were completed the carried out works were entered into the water log book for the site and a certificate was issued for the building. All works were in line and followed “L8” guidelines for water monitoring services.
